Prohibition on installing apps from unverified developers, Google Developer Program
A new update has been seen in Google, as till now any user using Android mobile could install any external application in his mobile. But now Google is gradually changing it. Google is thinking of implementing this new rule for users using Android mobile from next year itself.
Till now you could see many such applications in the Play Store, which had the option of installing within Google itself, apart from this you could install any application from outside, which now can be seen in the process of installing Google through a different rule.
Know the new rules of Google
Google is now going to update a new developer console. Where the developer developing the application will have to go through the process of registration, from the new announcement of Google it is coming to know that in the coming time, whatever applications will be installed, only those apps will be installed on certified Android developers, which will be created by verified developers in a way.
Let us tell you that till now, only the developers' verification was necessary in all the applications being seen in Google Play Store, but now with the new rule, any kind of third party developer making apps will also have to get verified as per Google's new rule and for this Google is going to launch a developer console for Android.
When can the new rule be started?
After the implementation of Google's new rule, this new rule will be implemented first in countries like Brazil, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand from 2026, only after this, this new system can be implemented globally by 2027. Google will start this new system from October 2025. After this, the process of getting Google's new Android Developer Console to all developers can start from March 2026.
Why is Google making changes in its Play Store?
Google has caught many dangerous apps in its Play Store such as side loading apps and malware like hacking apps which have been found 50 times more. Due to which many hackers have also been seen in this play store, many fraud application developers can also be seen. Even after Google banned them, those hackers have been seen again in Google's Play Store by changing the name of their application.
Now after verifying any application, it has announced to release an update to identify the real developer. By which it can be even easier to catch fake developers. Earlier Google believed that even after implementing verification on many applications on the Play Store, cases of malware and hackers leaking data were seen.
To what extent can Google's new rule affect users
This new rule of Google will not be applicable to the devices of many mobile companies and mobile phones assembled in countries like China, in which Google will not allow such applications to be installed through its Play Store services. And this is the reason that as per the new rules of Google, now users will be able to install third party apps only on those mobile phones whose developers are Google verified, and if any user tries to install such an application, even if it is from those verified developers, then he will not be able to install it on the certified Android phone.
